| It's great to hear from all of you! I'd like to email those of you who made comments on my last entry, but I'm not very familiar with Xanga. Is there some way to find your email address if I go to your Xanga site? | | |
| I'll be here until July 5th, so call me if you want to meet somewhere. I'm staying with my wife's brothers near Kowloon City. Just call and ask for Jeremy or Mr. Johnson. Our number is 2714-3030. It's best to call me before lunch, but if that doesn't work, try again after dinner.
I hope to talk with you soon!

| In 2005, may the Lord give you challenges to help you grow and strength to face those challenges.
My family got together for Christmas, and of course we had lots of fun. We played some games, ate a lot, and went to an amusement park (something like Ocean Park). My nieces and nephew also performed a short drama I had written for them.
My brother Jeffrey (whom some of you have met) is letting his hair grow long again. It looks cool! Me, too! In American culture, it's not considered bad for men to have long hair; many teachers, writers, even businessmen have long hair. At church this morning, I saw two men with pony-tails! I'll post some photos of Jeffrey and me later.
I hope you'll be happy and healthy this year. Write to me when you have time.
| It's been a long time since my last entry. I've been "on the road"; my family all got together at a nice log cabin in the mountains. We celebrated Christmas, since we can't all be here on Dec. 25. Did you know that Jesus wasn't born in December? No one knows for sure, but many historians say it was probably in March or April. I can tell you more if you're interested. Just email me and ask.
Anyway, my family usually celebrates Christmas around Dec. 1, which is also my birthday. I'm 34 now! I'm almost an old man. I don't feel any older. You grow a lot when you're a teenager, but I haven't really changed much in the last 10 years -- physically, I mean. My wife says I've gained some weight since coming back to the U.S., probably because I'm sleeping a lot more. In HK, I told people my secret for staying thin was that I didn't sleep much!
Some of you know that I was working on a website where I could post photos, group emails (like this), and so on. I've decided not to finish it right now. Maybe I'll pick it up again after I get a job and have some American students, because I'd like to help you and them become penpals. For now, I'll post these group emails on my online diary and post my photos on Yahoo. I've got lots of great photos to share, so I'll send you invitations from time to time. If you're curious about the website, here's a link: http://www.lsrweb.com/web/jahk/. But it's no where near finished, so don't expect too much.

| Like you guys said, we'll all be different/better next summer and each summer after that. Likewise, our relationship will change -- but it will improve as we each improve.
I remember at the end of your Form 6 year, one of you said you were worried that we wouldn't be as close the next year and I said, "We'll have to work at it to make sure we are." We did work at it, and we're closer now than we were then, even though we didn't see each other as often this year as we did that year. This coming year (or nine months), we won't see each other in person at all , so we'll have to work even harder not only to maintain our relationship but to make it grow.
We will. You guys mean the world to me. A little ocean can't separate us.
